USSF University Consortium
Symposium

Early-Bird Application Now Open

The Symposium will be held in Albuquerque, NM on June 10 + 11, 2025.

About the Symposium

The fourth annual University Consortium Symposium will be a vibrant convergence of visionary thinkers, industry leaders and dynamic doers. Returning to the Hotel Albuquerque in beautiful, sunny, Albuquerque, NM, this promises to be our best event yet. Building on growing momentum, we expect an exciting list of top speakers in the field, leading university researchers from 28+ universities, key government decision makers, industry partners and government technical points of contact with expertise in the symposium topic areas (listed below). THIS is your opportunity to meet people who have the ability to support innovation in every stage.

Some of the great things on the agenda this year:

  • Scenario exercises facilitated by the US Space Force. This will be a unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and bounce ideas around with the best of the best in your fields across several technical areas.
  • A closing speech by Daniel Abraham, co-author of the Expanse series. We can’t wait to hear from Mr. Abraham about what it takes to build worlds and the connection between university research and writing science fiction novels.
  • Networking opportunities—we think you’ll find that this event is as connection heavy as it is content rich.
  • Wide net—this year we are inviting more industry partners, universities, and a diverse group of government participants.

Who should consider attending the Symposium?

  • One or more senior researcher(s) from an eligible university that is knowledgeable about the breadth and scope of research happening in the chosen focus area and the limits of the current state of the art. They should have an interest in where the future is headed in that technology area.

Symposium Goal

Bring together government, academia, and industry to create partnership opportunities to support research under the Space Force University Consortium. In pursuit of that, provide information to academia about partnership opportunities and options on eventual commercialization paths. It is also an opportunity for the government to better understand the art of the possible in the chosen topic areas. Ideas generated and topics discussed will help inform future direction.
